If you need a new wood fireplace installed, relax, with our Easy Heat service.

Installing a wood fireplace can be a stressful and time consuming process. With Easy Heat, we take care of the hard work for you.

We liaise with local New Zealand Home Heating Association-registered installers, arranging a site check and an accurate quotation, so you know the cost up front. We then book delivery and installation on your behalf. All wood fires require a council permit – we can organize the processing of this, saving you the hassle.

Our top tip is to start this process early to ensure your wood fire is installed before the cold weather kicks in. Wait times increase the closer it gets to winter, so get in touch in January or February to avoid delays.

How does Easy Heat work?

Step 1 choose your fireplace

We’ll ask you some simple questions to determine a suitable wood fire for your home:

  • whether you live in a metro or rural area
  • whether any local clean air restrictions apply to you
  • whether you need a clean air or Ultra Low Emission Burner
  • how many square metres you need to heat
  • what extra features you’re looking for (wetback, cooktop, customizable features, hearth) and
  • what price range suits and if you’re interested in finance.

All 4 Seasons showrooms have a huge range of wood burners and wood stoves to suit all homes, tastes and budgets, so your sales consultant can recommend some suitable options. Plus, you can view, touch and even see some fires burning during winter.

Step 2 home visit from an installer

Our sales consultants can tell you what fireplace might suit. But you need a qualified installer to visit your home to ensure the fire is right for your needs. Each of our stores works closely with one or more experienced wood fire installers so we’ll arrange a home visit for you.

Step 3 review and accept your quotation

Once the installer has visited, 4 Seasons will provide you with a quote for the products and services you require. Accepting and paying for the quote means we can begin the permit and installation process.

Step 4 submit your permit information to us

All wood fires require a permit. If you’re replacing an existing wood fire, you need a new permit for the replacement one. Start collating your permit information as soon as possible. Your consultant will provide a list of what’s required and once 4 Seasons has it all, your permit application can be processed and submitted to your local council.

Step 5 book delivery and installation dates

Your sales consultant will take care of booking your delivery and installation dates to ensure everything the installer needs arrives on site ready for installation. It is your responsibility to have any preparation or building work completed in time, if relevant.

Step 6 installation of your new fire

The installer will complete the installation and complete any relevant sign off work related to your installation (council requirements vary).

Step 7 relax, and enjoy your new fireplace!

With 4 Seasons and Easy Heat, we’ll have you relaxed and cosy in front of your new fireplace in time for winter.
